Erase IPS Config and Clear Password

To erase the IPS config and clear the IPS password, first power cycle (or reload) the IPS. You can power cycle the IPS using the Remote Power Controller (or reload the IPS with the reset command if you have access to the command line). Shortly after the system begins booting up, there is a "Cisco IPS Clear Password (cisco)" menu. When that menu appears, press the down arrow key until the option 1: Cisco IPS Recovery is selected and press enter. This will erase the config and reset the username to cisco and the password to cisco.

After the config and password is cleared, please restore the password to Cisco123 so other users can log into the IPS.
